HOW TO IMPLEMENT PAYT AND KAYT APPROACHES? We have a strategy!

On 1^st December 2021 in Sant Just Desvern, the partners of the Life REthinkWASTE project shared the preliminary results of the KAYT pilots (KAYT from Know-as-you-throw, that’s a communication strategy with the final user through social network). During a workshop, models, obstacles, challenges, opportunities and communication to be considered to foster the implementation of the PAYT-KAYT approach have been examined and discussed (PAYT from Pay-as-you-throw, that the dynamic and fair tariff based on the actual delivery of unsorted waste).

From this exchange of views, we set out a selection of strategic elements to consider in order to implement this innovative governance system, which enables improved separate collection and recycling and a decrease in the amount of residual waste.
