Training and one-day workshop on the PAYT-KAYT approach in Cittadella on 24 January.

Etra and the Consiglio di Bacino Brenta are organising a workshop focusing on the innovative PAYT-KAYT approach on 24 January in Cittadella, with the involvement of the municipality and local stakeholders, as part of the dissemination actions of the Life REthinkWASTE project.
An opportunity to activate a collaborative approach aimed at involving municipalities and social parties for the transformation of the waste service, after the renewed entrusting of the service management to Etra for the next 15 years. The purpose is to share how to deal with the many innovations of the new contract, focusing in particular on two powerful tools: dynamic tariff (PATY, pay-as-you-throw) and timely communication to users, applying the innovative KAYT (know-as-you-throw) approach.
The joint application of PAYT and KAYT represents a real revolution: the customer is placed at the centre of the management of the service, and the objective is to involve him/her also through constant and tailored information, recognising a crucial role in the achievement of ambitious environmental goals.
The 24 January initiative is promoted in the context of the LIFE REthinkWASTE project, led by ETRA and involving 11 partners from 4 different countries with the objective of promoting innovative schemes in waste governance.
During the forenoon, the results of the pilots implemented in Spain and Italy, included Bassano del Grappa, will be presented, and the PAYT and KAYT approaches will be outlined. The agenda for the day will include, above all, a collaborative workshop, an alternative method to effectively exchange ideas, a special opportunity in that the municipalities, representatives of the users, the service provider and the authority managing the service will work together at the same table.
Participation is free of charge, but registration is compulsory following this link: https://ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/runner/Form_registrazione_PAYT-KAYT_Cittadella_24-01-2023
